Leor Galil of The Reader posted a story today detailing a crazy day in Chicago hip-hop that still has yet to see Thursday. Included in the city’s feats as of Wednesday were Rockie Fresh’s surprise mixtape My Birthday, Vic Spencer released The Catalog Don and, of course, there was Acid Rap, for which there was a line down Dearborn and around the corner on Van Buren from our doors. Galil also touches on the re-emergence of juke and footwork artist DJ Nate who is shouted out on Chance’s “Pushaman”. Hit the link for the full story and the jump for the video for DJ Nate’s “Gucci Goggles”.
