Ok where do i start with this one? One of Hip Hop’s most influential mc’s. Not to be bias at all but for a long period of time he was my favorite rapper and still is in my top 5 as of now. The guy i’m talking about is Nasir Jones aka Nas. Today my Daily Dose pick is his new joint Be A Nigger Too.
I’m sure many of you have already heard the song but i figured i would be the first to officially post it. The video instantly struck me emotionally hearing the powerful voice of Malcolm X. I thought to myself,” It seems as though this guy Nas keeps doing this.”He continues to make quality for social empowerment and human well being. The word “nigger” is thrown around in the African American community quite often and Nas was attacking just that in this song. So speaking as a young African American male i have gained a totally different type of respect for this guy not just as a rapper but as a man. So heres the video and enjoy.

Intro is so sick! Nas couldnt have came at a better time with this album. Dude is a genius and a living legend.
i concurr homie, hes is a living legend…nas yup one of the best.
The NIGGA nas is a genius…too bad all these NIGGAS don’t take the time to understand or listen to anything except when a NIGGA is rapping about the trap or some bass-heavy beat. Nas gets crucified for trying to “spit knowledge” and come with concious rap, and although NIGGAS have come a long way, NIGGAS still have that subconcious little man dressed in red on their shoulder telling them it’s uncool to be smart, a leader, different, or anything else besides a NIGGA. It’s human nature to not want to address the elephant in the room, so big ups to Esco for using def jam as an avenue to put the word on the intersection of Wall Street and FRONT STREET
