ADVENTURES OF MANNY MUSCLES-ALEX WILEY AND RL GRIME

So last night after finishing up some stuff over at our office space, my homie Zack Eastman one of the owners over at EastRoom told me to stop by and grab a drink with him.  So I did, we had a drink before I headed out to Lacuna Lofts to check out  the homie @alex_willey_vill’s secret show.  My homie RTC (DJ and Co-Owner of the Label Clossed Sessions) had hit me up to come thru and check out the show, so I did, had to show some support.  Not sure if any of you guys have been over to Lacuna Lofts yet, but it’s a pretty cool spot, lots to see and it seems like a huge maze of cool stuff.  To me, it’s seems like a small city.  Lots of different artists have spaces up there along with other businesses.  Definitely look it up and take a trip over there!  Hit more to check out the rest of my night and some pics and what not.

Anyway they were having an art show and Alex was doing a couple of songs for the show, which was super dope and super intimate.  At the end of his performance he was signing the little canvas portraits his homie had done for him, super dope!

After the show, I shot over to the crib to go meet up with Chico.  We wanted to check out the homies Zebo and PHNM over at the Mid.  They were opening for Salva and RL Grime.  Not sure if you guys are familiar with either of the headliners, but RL Grime is a producer out of LA.  He is known for doing remixes to trap music if you will.  So he does more like EDM Trap remixes and his own original production also.  One of his first remixes I heard was of Chris Browns song, Look at me know.  It was cool.  Right now I wanna say his “Love Sosa” remix is really cracking.  Oh btw Zebo and PHNM killed it, they played sme EDM then some rap and some trap.  Pretty diverse set.  RL Grime was pretty dope also, his style was pretty much a combination of trap and EDM, but mostly EDM.  He played his production along with his remixes and with a couple of more popular trap songs in between.  Not sure if he or Slava played OG Bobby Johnson, but who ever did def new what was up.  I think it was Slava cause it was towards the end of the night and he played like 30 min of popular trap music, like the more mainstream songs, either way it was cool.  Oh it was also RL Grime’s B Day, so that was cool.  Peep his sound cloud and see what you think.  Shit if I missed anything put me up on please.  I tried to get some video but I was upstairs and place was super packed, to hard to move.  Luckily we got swaged in by our sis LiLi K.  She was there for her girls b day party and they had a table so, we were back and forth from the main room and the “private room”.  It was hella cold out side and all these club places suck when it comes to letting people “like” me in, smh, so we were happy we got in!

Salva is on the left and RL Grime is on the right, this pic was towards the end of the night.  I wish I would have gotten some good vid, but for now peep his Sound Cloud and let me know what you guys think.
